How the Growth Grade works
One letter for how your app is doing, and exactly why. The grade is an assessment built from measurable signals, not an objective truth, and every part of it explains itself.
Seven areas, weighted
Visibility
20%Your category rank and where it's heading, plus how often you reach the top 10 for searches that matter to you. Ranks are log-scaled, so a small app isn't punished for being small.
Keywords
18%How much of the relevant search demand you capture: the searches people use to find apps like yours, weighted by demand and how relevant they are.
Competition
14%Your position against the apps you actually compete with, measured across the searches you share.
Reviews
14%Your rating and how quickly new ratings arrive, compared with the median app in your category.
Store Listing
12%Whether your listing does its job: keywords in the title and subtitle, screenshots, a preview video, a full description, and recent updates.
Growth
12%Whether your downloads are growing faster or slower than the median app in your category.
Market Reach
10%How visible you are in the countries where people want apps like yours, and whether you're localized there.
From score to letter
Each area scores 0–100. The overall score is their weighted average, then mapped to a letter. Scores are compared with your category, so a focused indie app can earn an A.

Honest by design
Missing data is never a zero. If we can't measure an area, it's left out and the grade's confidence drops. You'll see which areas were graded.
Estimates look like estimates. Downloads and revenue for apps you don't own are modelled, labelled as such, with ranges where we have them.
Versioned. When we change the weights, that's a new scoring version (this page shows version 1), and every grade keeps the version that made it.
